Directions to The Valley House
Taking the Bus or Train:
Coming from Shannon Airport:
Take a bus to Galway and then make a connection to Westport, Co. Mayo
and then another connection to Achill. (There are no trains from Shannon).
Coming from Dublin: Take the train from Heuston Station (Dublin) to Westport and then take the bus to Achill. Buses from Dublin-Westport are also available (see Bus Eireann details below).
Coming from Westport, Co. Mayo: Take the #441 bus from Mill Street in Westport to Achill. This bus stops within 100m of our hostel entrance. Tell the driver you are going to the Valley House and that you need to get off at the Valley crossroads. See Bus Eireann details below for schedules.
Coming from Castlebar, Co. Mayo: You can take the #441 bus from Stephen Garvey Way (up hill from the Aldi store) in Castlebar. Tell the driver you are going to the Valley House and that you need to get off at the Valley crossroads. See Bus Eireann details below for schedules.
