Group Bookings
Organising a group trip can be hard work for the group leader but rest
assured we will do our best to make the process as easy as possible for
you at every stage of your booking. We are always on hand to offer lots
of help and advice on travel to The Valley House as well as information
on Achill Island and County Mayo. There's so much to do and see here...check
out our Activities page as well as our Achill
page for some ideas. We can help organize water sports, hillwalking,
boat trips, music sessions... and whatever else your group needs to have
an enjoyable stay with us. We have over 30 years experience helping groups
of all ages enjoy the beauty and special atmosphere of Achill and The
Valley House.
We can accommodate groups numbering up
to 42 people depending on the time of year. Please contact us for group

If you wish, we can also provide your group with meals such as a full
Irish cooked breakfast, a packed lunch, a barbeque buffet or a 3-course

Terms and Conditions
Continental breakfast, showers and wifi internet access are included in the price. All bed linen is provided but guests should bring their own towels and toiletries. Other group meals can be provided on request. Contact us for more information. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about Achill and local activities.
A non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total booking must be paid within 7 days of the booking in order to secure your reservation. If the deposit is not received within 7 days your reservation will be considered cancelled.
The remainder balance is due at least 30 days (4 weeks) prior to arrival. If the balance has still not been received by us two weeks in advance we reserve the right to regard your booking as cancelled.
Please note bookings can still be made if the arrival date is less than 30 days away as long as there is availability in the hostel. These bookings must be immediately paid in full to confirm the reservation.

Cancellations of group bookings must be made in writing by post or email.

Additional Terms & Conditions
Alcohol and parties are not allowed upstairs in the bedrooms of the hostel under any circumstances. Management reserve the right to ask guests who break this rule to leave the hostel immediately without refund. Please note also that the hostel building is a licensed premises and it is an offence to bring alcohol not sold on the premises into the hostel building. Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the hostel building.
Leaders accompanying a group must agree to be responsible
and accountable for the behaviour and actions of their party.
The group leader who makes the booking is liable for all damages (including
excessive noise or disruption of other guests) caused by their group.
A security deposit of €25 per person may be charged on some (not
all) group types - you will be contacted during the booking process if
this is the case. This security deposit will be refunded in full if no
damages or disturbances are caused by the group while staying at The Valley
House. Any damage/expense incurred by the hostel due to the actions of
the group will be deducted from the security deposit. Any expenses incurred
beyond the limits of the deposit will be collected from the group leader(s).
